2001 Nissan Sentra XE (BASE) review from North America
"If there were ever to be a car created by god, this would be the car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
New Radiator-213 000 miles-$250 part and installation.
Many, Many headlight bulbs-$9 each.
General comments?
I bought this car somewhat new about seven years ago with about twenty one thousand miles on it for $9,300. New I've been told they go for about $11k.
I purshased the base model, the only options it was equiped with was air conditioning, and carpeted floor mats.
When I got the car I was very pleased with the accelleration and handling of such an inexpensive car.
Gas mileage was amazing, for the first hundred fifty thousand miles of ownership I averaged about thirty eight miles per gallon, all the time (a/c only brought it to about thirty two). After I hit about 200K miles I only got about thirty three miles on average.
I've always known Nissan to be a good car, but never this good. Finally at about 237K miles my car started to have some slight engine trouble, and suspension trouble. Instead of fixing the car I just donated it out.
In the entire six years of ownership nothing of went wrong on my car except the radiator and headlight bulbs.
