2002 Nissan Sentra GXE review from North America
"Very poorly made. Cheap!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
At 13,000 miles hood wouldn't open. The dealership said that the warranty was good for 12,000 miles. refused to fix it under warranty. Service manager made them fix it.
At 14,000 miles a/c wouldn't turn off unless I turned engine off, and restarted car. Dealership insisted that the vehicle was designed that way.
At 30,000 miles heat sensor went and heat gauge always appears to be over heating, but it is not.
At 34,000 miles engine light came on and the codes read bad oxygen sensor.
At 39,000 my automatic transmission started slamming into gear when I started it in drive. Meter said shift solenoid was bad. Had it replaced and still have the problem.
General comments?
It's been a terrible car, and I believe my transmission is on the verge of going.
I owned a Maxima before and it was a good solid car. this vehicle was cheaply made, and manufactured poorly.
If I had all these problems fixed at the dealership, I probably would have paid thousands of dollars.
I've already paid out over a thousand dollars and still have all of these problems.
When the transmission goes I'll probably junk it. Too much aggravation.
