1992 Nissan Sentra SE-R review from North America

The seat belt holder that's on the top left on the passenger door fell off.

Drivers side door is worn out. It does not close right.

On and off problems with the blinkers. Only the back ones blink.

Front speakers blew. The wires also burned out. I replaced them and I fixed them myself which was a piece of cake.

Normal wear and tear such as tires, brakes, tune ups and battery.

I had to replace the fuel pump when the car wouldn't start at 200,000 miles.

Timing belt went at 210,000, which also caused the car not to start. It was also an easy fix, I only had to take out a few little things to get to the timing belt.

I had to replace both left upper and lower ball joints, which might of been my fault because of the way I drive. This was at 198,000 miles.

Very rarely this happens, but when I come to a full stop and then as soon as I take my foot off the brake and step back on the gas, it stalls. Anyone have clues?

I love the car. I understand it seems that I had a lot of problems with it, but it was nothing major. With my mechanic skills I fixed most of it myself. This car has been very well reliable despite how bad I drive it.

I have never drove any car that performs well as this car. It is really fun to drive. The upgraded 2.0 really satisfies you when you floor the gas pedal. If anyone is looking to get a Nissan Sentra from around the early 90's, I highly recommend the SE-R.

This car is also very comfortable and very supportive. I really love the options that come with it and it's power everything with the sunroof. The original speakers were awesome before they blew and I replaced with different ones. The reason why they blew was because they were way too powerful and I always blast the radio.

I also like the color which is blue with black stripes on the outside and tan in the inside.

This is a 2 door car, and even the back seats are comfortable for adults, even on long trips. However the seat fabric is wearing out and these cheap speakers I replaced with suck.

This car is very cheap to have. I get excellent gas mileage on the highway that averages around 27mpg, which is not bad from being driven at 85mph most of the time. In city driving I get about 21mpg. I would get better mileage if I did not beat the crap out of it, but that's how I am, and it runs in the family.

I am more like a Corvette person, but I can't afford those cars. When I bought this car with 90,000 miles I paid $3,000, and with my loan with a 30% interest rate, I ended up paying $6,000, which pretty much seems like a rip off, but as long as the car keeps going and going it will be worth the $6,000.

Bottom line. Even though I had problems, I still love it to death. Nobody would not expect a cheap little plastic compact that would be so fun to drive. Well this car is.
