2006 Nissan Sentra SER Spec V review from North America
"Great car for the money!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
No problems.
General comments?
The Spec V features numerous performance parts at a bargain price.
The only cars that perform any better usually cost from $5,000 to $10000 more.
The brakes are strong, have excellent pedal feel, and stop the car in a straight line without drama even during panic stops.
The steering, while not Porsche level, is very good for performance driving.
The body does not lean during hard corning and the suspension remains composed even when driving briskly over rough road surfaces.
With the exception of a few minor squeaks now and then, the car is solid and well made.
The 2.5 engine pulls strongly in any gear at almost any rpm. Hill climbing and passing are a breeze.
My Spec has averaged between 26 mpg (city) and 32 mpg (highway).
After 60000 miles, I have yet to add oil between changes. I use Mobil 1 and change it myself.
My only problem with the car is that I could use a bit more leg room. I'm 6'2" tall.
