1994 Nissan Sentra ES review from North America
"As cheap as you can get (in a good way)"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Replaced most of the exhaust system in 2003, after 9 years of Canadian winters.
Replaced the windshield in 2004 because of a large crack.
Replaced the front brakes in 2002 shortly after acquiring the car.
Had to replaced the front brakes in 2004 again, because I used really cheap parts the first time.
Had the replace the brake line to the rear brakes in 2005, because they rusted badly.
General comments?
That car was a very reliable car for me. I sold it to a friend in 2006, and it's still running strong with more than 300000 km on it. The only thing he's had to change was the battery and the alternator last year.
It is incredibly dull to drive and really not powerful, but it gets great mileage and is quite comfortable for a little econobox. There is good room in front, although I would not want to travel in the back for very long.
The only problem with the car now is that it getting too rusted, but after 14 years of Canadian winters, it's really not that bad considering that it was never rust-treated.
