2002 Nissan Sentra XE review from North America

Recall items - Crankshaft sensor went at around 140,000, although other recall issues did not.

Ignition on coil on cylinder 3 just went at around 167,000km's. Other than that, it's been pretty good...

My dog ate one of the rear seat belts, which was almost the end of him.

As for Dealers in Manitoba - I didn't find any good Nissan dealer who I would trust with my car. My most recent check-up was a huge disappointment. They couldn't diagnose the ignition problems (which was causing the car to lose power and then come back) They said it was a weak battery - so after the problem kept getting worse, I took it to my local mechanic and he was able to help me... So I had to pay two guys to find out what was wrong. But I expect as it's getting older, more problems will start showing up.

It's been a good starter car, although knowing what I know now, I probably would have gone with a Honda or a Toyota, mainly because there would be a dealer closer to where I live.

The Sentra has a rough ride, it's quite noisy inside, but on the plus side the car for the most part has been reliable, held up good to the extensive driving and harsh Manitoba Winters...

It's gone through some snow drifts it probably shouldn't have, and it's gotten me home on those cold winter nights.
