2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R spec V review from North America
"The grin :-D you'll get from a test drive will speak by itself"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Paint not great (in process with the dealer). I had some kind of discoloration (one spot) and brought it back, and they fixed it immediately.
General comments?
Great performance and handling. It takes some time to get accustomed to the shifter and (slight) torque steer, but after that it's a blast to drive.
2002 models required a pretty long break-in period (at least 2000 miles). After this, power increased, the shifter got a LOT smoother etc. Be wary of (second hand) 2002 models that have not been broken in correctly (they can have oil consumption problems). Most bugs have been fixed on late 02 and all 03 models.
Stock continental tires are great on dry surfaces, but have little traction on wet surfaces/snow and ice.
