2001 Nissan Sentra GXE review from North America
"Crap"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Within the first year had 4 recalls ranging from headlamp positioning to front wheel axis and wheel hub replacement.
After 2 years the center console light bulb burnt out. charged $80 labor for $1 part.
Horn became inoperable a few months later.
After 2 years 4 months "service engine soon" light came on. No reason. $90 to reset.
After 2 years 7 months "Service engine soon" light came on again. Reason was a malfunctioning Fuel Gage and fuel gauge sensor.
After 2 years 7 months "service engine light" came on again. Reason was malfunctioning (Brain - Computer)
After 3 years had to replace Catalytic converter and 2 intake timing sensors.
General comments?
Will fix this last problem and sell immediately after.
My girlfriend bought the same car and she hates it too. Will influence her to sell it too.
Will not ever purchase another Nissan product.
