1994 Nissan Sentra XE coupe review from North America

For a car of this age and mileage (I bought it at 7 years old and about 268,000 miles), it is not out of the ordinary to replace certain parts:

Replaced brake pads at 284,000 miles (3rd time).

Head gasket blew at 292,000 miles (3rd one). Replaced it.

Replaced starter at 301,000 miles (2nd time).

Replaced fuel pump at 270,000 miles.

CV boot replaced (3rd time) at 300,000 miles.

A/C compressor replaced at 319,000 miles (3rd time).

Clutch replaced at 326,000 miles (2nd time).

Paint is fading, and the dashboard makes a rattling sound when I drive.

Headlights (when not on) have turned from a whitish-color to a dark yellowish-color.

Seats are uncomfortable on long rides.

Previous owner bought the car new, drove approximately 110 miles daily to and from work, for 7 years. Kept it well maintained.

I bought it to use as a commuter car because it gets around 30+ miles to the gallon.

The car isn't as fast or good-looking as it once was, but it will last another 50,000-100,000 miles if it is serviced well.

This would make a great commuter car for anyone.
