2005 Nissan Sentra SE limited edition review from North America
"Great economical car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing has gone wrong with this car as of 22,500 miles.
General comments?
I paid $11,700 for the se model. the car was new and it is loaded with options... the only option it does not have is a sunroof... a great buy.
My former car was a 2002 civic. also a good car... but it was noisy and rides like a skateboard. the sentra is quieter, smoother riding and a better stereo... which makes for more comfortable travelling.
Oddly enough, for a loaded car, it does not have anti skid brakes.
The 15000 mile service from nissan was almost $400. I think that is a bit high as it did not include any major service... ie tune up, timing chain...
When the car was new, the auto trans did a lot of downshifting. now that the car has some miles on it, it shifts a lot less.
Freeway mpg is 30+ it would probably be as advertised if I didn't go so fast.
Overall, I'm completely satisfied with the car.
