1995 Nissan Serena LX review from UK and Ireland
"Slow, but reliable and practical a bit of a tortoise and the hare affair I really miss the thing"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Prop shaft cracked twice.
Rust bubbles showing.
Battery gave up unexpectedly.
Hinges broke on back seats making them awkward to fold away.
General comments?
Really uncomfortable and rattly almost as bad as sitting in a van.
Slow take off and slow top speed.
Noisy ride.
No legroom in the back seats.
Awkward seating position in the middle row.
Great all round visibility due to big mirrors and high ride position.
Looks more like a house-brick than a car.
High fuel consumption considering the complete lack of power.
Spare parts expensive.
Most reliable car I've ever owned. Never failed to start or get me home except in self inflicted circumstances.
Handling is poor. A light drizzle made any surface feel like ice.
Seats are basic.
Huge space in the back when seats are folded down making it very versatile.
8 seats instead of the usual 7 in a people carrier and didn't handle any worse when fully loaded although I doubt it could've handled worst.
