"Race car with plates"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Nothing apart from pipes blowing off.

General comments?

This car is seriously quick but not off the line.

This car gives an extra jolt when you hit 4th gear at 100mph and just flies (I can personally vouch for 165Mph).

When I bought the car it was highly modified, tien coilovers, HKS intake and exhaust, Blitz BOV, High flowed turbo, massive front mount.

Handles like nothing else but not for the road, I had to remove the coilovers as I had destroyed 2 400R front bumpers at $1000 each within 4 months (was about 7 cms off the ground but the tien adjusters were stuck so couldn't raise them)

The car would get airbourne while hitting normal bumps on normal roads it was just too stiff.

Within 3 months I had gone through 4 rims destroyed by bumps so had to fit normal 16"s.

With normal 16"s would fry the tyre's in almost any condition.

Absolutely killer in the wet, just stay away from the accelerator around any corner.

It would be a great drift car if it didn't have HICAS 4WS, I took it to the drifts once and couldn't keep control of it (easy fix with a HICAS lock bar)

But the worst thing about the car is the fuel consumption which was absolutely crazy, I went from a $50 a week Lancer to my first week with the skyline at $1000, yeah I did drive it a bit, the second week still came in at $600 and the third at $400.

I then decided I would only drive it on weekends and it settled to about $200 a week.

Although there isn't much good to say about this car, I have loved owning it and I was very lucky to have never been pulled over or crashed it (by the way I am 19)

My advice is if you're gonna buy one of these, buy one with as little mods a possible and decide what mods you wanna do yourself.

I would still buy another one, but I would buy a stocko.

$1000 a week for petrol? You're one well heeled teenager.

Tell us what your car gets in litres/100km.

How did you spend $1000 in a week on petrol? That's like 10 full tanks.

Holy crap, even at $200 on weekend still sounds pretty bad. Maybe you should put Libra tampons over the leakage LOL. You must be kidding right? Otherwise you are such brutally honest about your driving LOL. All good though ;)
