1996 Nissan Skyline GTS-25t review from Australia and New Zealand
"The deep growl of the exhaust at idle, which turns all the heads on the streets"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing.
Just had slight boost creep when I put on a bigger dump pipe, which was easily fixed by an electronic boost controller.
General comments?
This isn't the quickest car off the mark as traction issues. However rolling starts are VERY quick. On the motorway, it has huge pull and rarely need to shift down to 4th.
When I first got the car from Japan, it only had a catback EXH. I put on a pod filter on the dyno and it made 174rwkw. Now it has a full exhaust, FMIC, Splitfire coils, cold air box and EBC set to 7/10psi. I have a piggyback going in in the next month or so, which should hopefully see me with around 230rwkw.
Best thing about this car is the open road experience, on high boost it does 80-120 in around 3 seconds. Its power delivery is very linear.
On high boost, and no launch, it will do 0-100k in around 5 sec with very little wheelspin (18inch rims with 235's GY Eagle F1's)
