Wheel barrings went at 4000 miles.
Gearbox went at 6500 miles.
Front brakes cracked, snapped off and nakkard up all inside of my set of £3500 Mille Miglia wheels.
Radiator blew at 10000 miles.
Rear Heated Window smashed at 100mph on a B-road.
At 20000 miles, the starter motor packed in and it was all due to loose electronics.
It devolops about 515bhp.
Its good for around 185mph and it does 0-62 in 4.1 seconds.

Not very good for your missus going shopping in.
Not a family car.
With that much horsepower did you really expect the original parts to last that long.
That's double the power of standard, and if they are after market parts, then don't blame nissan.
If I am wrong and it really is a crap car then,
they should have made the thing in Sunderland, then it would have not fallen apart.
I cannot believe the original author of this review has used 'cheap' quality parts on such an awesome speed machine. You would have done much better by using high quality Japanese performance tuning parts on a GTR. Nismo, HKS, Blitz, Apexi, Jun all make excellent parts for the Skyline and I bet you wouldn't have had any problems.
Engine management and good tuning are the most important parts of a performance vehicle. If anyone wants more power from a Skyline GTR I highly advise you to get work done by a Japanese performance specialist only, and use management such as the Apexi Power FC, HKS F-Con or Mines Ecu; but not Superchips. With all due respect to Superchips, a very high technology engine needs high technology tuning, and the Japanese know their own very well.
Oh and they never made an R34 GTR until 1999 I believe... are you sure it wasn't an R33 in 1996?

I don't think they put barrings in until 1999 either.
