1983 Nissan Stanza GL review from North America
"Great project car, and will do another car soon"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I reflowed and rebuilt the carburettor.
I rebuilt the distributor with brand new coils.
New camshafts.
Rebuilt heads and new gaskets.
I took a 2.4 liter engine and a transmission from a 1989 240sx and rebuilt them both, and put them into this Stanza.
I lowered the suspension 2 inches and added heavy duty king springs, which are orange in color (and this suspension is adjustable).
This car had no power steering, (and was not hard to steer to begin with), but I rebuilt it with a tighter turning circle.
If I shift between 4000 and 7500 RPM, flames shoot out of the tail pipe.
General comments?
BF Goodrich traction tires 155/30/R16 all around.
16 inch steel rims all around.
Tinted windows all around except the windshield.
Repainted dark blue with black door moldings.
Front seats from a 1989 240sx.
Crazy car car to drive with lots of high RPM power.
This car handles like a race car.
The interior is blue as well, including the seats.
Power windows, mirrors, seats, and sunroof came from a 1989 240sx, and I installed them on this 1983 Stanza GL.
Tilt wheel.
Aftermarket racing steering wheel also painted blue.
I cut the exhaust pipe 2 inches.
