"Keeps its great look, but has problems"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

I got the car my sophomore year of highschool, and its really had a lot of problems since then. When the car gets driven for about 30min + or just when the engine gets hot from a lot of driving, its starts bucking when you want to accellerate, scaring me.

The radio is a piece of crap, it will constantly flip on and off.

Recently (today in fact) I was driving at around 35mph and it just stalled. Let it sit for a few hours and was able to start it, but would stall continually when idleing.

Bits of rust are forming at the back corners of the body.

It burns oil

it sticks going into 3rd gear

gets bad mileage (probably a combination of problems)

Switch to open trunk dosen't work from inside.

General comments?

I absolutely love the red paint job. I get comments on how good it looks, even though its 13 years old. Its generally a nice looking car, a bit boxy, but if kept clean looks very respectable.

Something that really suprised me about it was how quick it was. the 5 speed manual really has some pickup, but the clutch its self is huge - almost trucker like (at least compared to others I've driven)

The interior looks completely awesome, it is in perfect condition after 13 years of wear and tear. I love the automatic seat belts mine has! But that's the only automatic thing its equipped with, no windows or locks.

Cosmetically, the car is perfect. Looks great in and out.

You need to replace your thermostat and check vacuum pressure in the cylinders and get a check up on your car.
