1992 Nissan Stanza XE review from North America
"This make/model of car has been my favorite for delivery"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
67k Water pump went out when I first bought it.
Brakes need to be adjusted regularly. The
brakes will tend to fade in the rear and the dealer adjusts a cable I believe.
Requires better than average tires in snow.
General comments?
This is my third Stanza, I had a '90 (230k), 91 (still own at 248k) and now a '92. I deliver pizza's as a second job and put about 100 miles a night
on the car in stop and go traffic to 65-70mph every night. This is a solid car with long legs (2k rpm at 55mph). I took the car on a 600 mile trip and had the cruise set for 100mph for over an hour at a time, the car didn't use any oil or complained in anyway. The same goes for the previous two Stanzas.
The overdrive will not shift into top gear when cold if not serviced properly.
Reasonable comfort, style and economy with rugged durability makes this one sensible car.
