1993 Nissan Sunny GTi-R review from UK and Ireland
"Psycho engine in small car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Plugs needed replacing costing £70.
I replaced the standard brake pads due to poor standard items.
The exhaust system was replaced (cat removed) to improve performance.
Front CV boot (Nissan want over £200 to replace!).
4x4 system eats tyres if you drive hard.
General comments?
Super fast Japanese hot hatch. Easy to tune to over 280bhp. Expensive to run. Cheaper to buy than the rival Impreza, Bishi Evo or Integrale. 0-62mph (100kph) in 5.27 seconds. 144mph top speed for under 9k.
Interior is a bit basic like all Japanese cars. Imports get air-con and electric mirrors. If you buy one, uprate the brakes!
