Hi, I am Lam from Malaysia. I bought a 1992 Nissan Sunny B12, 1.3 Manual 2 years ago. Initially experienced few problems like overheating, noisy drive shaft, noisy steering tie rod etc, most probably due to poor maintenance by the previous owner. Since I started to replace the parts, not much serious problem. However I find it difficult to get good quality spare parts here. Now, I am using a V40, so the Sunny becomes idling at mom's house. Will not sell the sunny. Anybody in Malaysia knows where to get good quality Sunny parts, please contact me at lamyc@eversafe.net I am looking for CV joint, tie rod, auto gear box.

Today I lost (stolen) my Sunny B11 1992, in Sek 14 Petaling Jaya (in front of menara bakti), Malaysia. I am very very sad, I had a lot of good memories with my car. Yes it had some problems, but it never let me down, never broke down once on the road, perfect. Just my car and me and my girl. Now I don't know what to do. No car can replace my Sunny. I love you. 31/7/08.

I am in Zimbabwe and I own a 1983 Sunny HB11 Sedan. E15 carb engine and 5 speed manual tranny. It's one car with a real soul. I have had it ever since 1994 and I can never let it go. It lost oil pressure on the highway once and I stopped, hitched a lift to a gas station, bought 3.5l of oil. Poured and drove home. After that overhauled engine and returned piston size to standard, rebuilt and reground cam, new bearings, the works. Mileage in the 300k region. But I can still clock the speedo (180kph) in it without a prob. Fourth gear takes me to 130 - 140kph. Engine seems to rev low but quite torquey. It starts with a single 'kick' or turn of the key. Gets a bit light feeled above 140kph but not entirely scary. I actually think I once lifted off the wheels taking a turn absurdly fast. Complaints - usual clutch not lasting long issues and having contact points ignition, cubby hole not strong. Otherwise I can't think of anything else. I once did a 140km journey and couldn't fit 7 litres in the tank, that's how economical it is on the highway. Love the gauges so much in their light beige/cream colour and dimmer switch for the dash.

I live in Zimbabwe and I drive an HB11 Sunny first used in Zimbabwe in 1986. The car is a dream an is easy and cheap to run. The only disadvantage is the clutch cable system I would never dream of selling this car.

Hi! I must say after reading these comments I am feeling very proud to be an owner of a B11 for 9 years with only two paint overs and one engine change. It was painted in 1999 Subaru Blue and in 2006 re-painted in 2007 Subaru Blue I use my car for Solodex for which my wife is the driver. Can be viewed at the pics on Solodex 3,4&5 2008 at www.trinituner.com Forums - Solodex.

Need to seek some in-for. on upgrading the engine performance.

Hey Guys and Gals, I am from Trinidad and have been the proud owner of three consecutive Sunny B11 dream machines; the latest is a 1989 model 1500cc, auto trans.

Factory A/C still works and engine still kicking like crazy. The car needs some body work and I am trying to locate some parts (doors, etc.) If you have anything to sell give me a holla at kbramch@gmail.com. Thanks and keep on the Sunny side.

Hi, I am Sanjeewa. I also using amazing Nissan HB11 AD Wagon built in 1983, very good

on fuel consumption and space, and its convenience on long trips..

I love this car so much, but the problem is its body damage due to corrosion; according to the mechanic the cost will be Rs 120,000.00 (about 1000.00 USD), so nowadays I am struggling to find the money for that.

Anyway, it's an amazing car sanjeeuk@yahoo.com

Hi, I am Peter from Kenya, I own a 1.6 litre 1987 Nissan Sunny b12 station wagon 5 speed manual gearbox, and it still gives me its top speed (200kph) up to date, and I can't imagine a better car. The boxy shape is unique.

Hi, I am Herman from the Netherlands.

15 years ago I had a B11 station model.

I did drive it for 375.000 km and only had normal maintenance like brakepads oil an cooling fluid exhaust end.

I have such good memory's with that car.

I am so fed up with modern cars, that I am buying a used one tomorrow with 107.000 km automatic in very good condition.

Only some minor rust on the doors.

It wil cost almost nothing €500.-

I intend to drive this car for the next decade making it an old-timer.

This cars last forever, and in my opinion are the most reliable car ever made.
