1989 Nissan Sunny ZX review from UK and Ireland
"Like a wilful and masochistic lover, the more you thrash it, the more it likes it!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Rear brake calipers seized.
Fuel gauge is not working.
Clutch slave cylinder broke.
That's about it.
General comments?
140 mph plus on the M62!
Werewolf in puffs clothing.
God loves it. Everyone else thinks its crap!
Needs a bit of work on the handling side it's very slow to turn in on tight corners. (very baggy)
Noisy.
Engine develops an alarming rattle on left hand bends.. Oil starvation?
I'm going to rally it soon so the totally original and totally unmarked bodywork is going to get all puckered.
Where can I get competition parts?
I hate those silly coupe models, boats and noddy cars, horrid.
Not as 'innit mate' as a Corolla GTi.
Long first gear.
Fast is not furious, for that try a 205 GTi or a Rover GTi or even the saddest of sad Ford range of crap.
I had a 309 GTi that was a bit sorted and I know that the sunny will never give the same level of balance as that car, the quickest car I've driven A to B on a winding country road.
Horrid wheels.
Silly seats.
I love it!
