Power transister failed on 1 cylinder, still started and drove though. Other than that only general wear 'n' tear items like brakes, tyres etc.
Spunky motor which redlines at 7500rpm. Will beat most boyracer GTI's with confidence, e.g. Golfs, 205's, 309's, even kept up with an R5 Turbo, then overtook it at 125mph (on private roads of course).
Great car though - almost stealth looking - not many around either.
Seating/dashboard position almost perfect - nice 'n' low. Recommended if you can find a decent one, but only built for 3 years (88 - 91).
I have owned a G-reg Nissan Sunny 1.8 ZX Twin Cam for one month now nd I am deeply impressed witht he all round ability of this car. It is very quick, handles well and is surprisingly economical. On the motorway it is a real stormer and can easily do 135mph, whilst retaining good stability. Nissan were building this underrated machine years before the likes of Saxo VTSs, etc and it will still give the vast majority of hot hatches a good thrashing!
Well I agre with the above and infact I am sad to say I'm now ready to move on to my next car, I've had the sunny for 3 years and in that time has only failed on the power transistor which set me back £200, shes in a good nick only done 69000 miles, I also have a donor car that I been using to clean her up a bit, if any 1 is interested in her or parts off the donor then please e-mail me dylangoodman@btopenworld.com I'm going miss her, but want her to go to a good owner.
This car is crazy fast, beats RS's all day. I've even chased down an Impreza that couldn't escape on the motorway. My fave car is out of this and a 1.8 Clio; they are exactly the same except the Clio is ugly.
I'm after another of each; contact bomont im_here_to_fix_the_fridge@hotmail.com.
