1991 Nissan Sunny GSX COUPE review from UK and Ireland
"A Classic Japaneese Retro Sports Car (A Wolf In Sheeps Clothing)"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing At All Apart From The Rear Exhaust Box Blowing & Needing Replacing, But There Again, These Cars Are Very Powerful.
Inquire Around For Exhaust Sections As They Can Be Expensive.
General comments?
The Nissan Sunny GSX Coupe Is Not Suitable For Nervous Drivers Or People That Have Just Passed There Test Or You Have Driving Convictions Standing Etc.
Don, t Even Think About Buying One Of These Cars Till You Are At Least 25 Years Old Plus Or If Your Extremely Well Off Money Wise, As The Insurance Is Not That Cheap.
The Engine Is A 1600cc 12 Valve, Powered By A Hitachi Carburettor System Unit.
My Engine Is A Single Over Head Cam Chain Driven Type, So No Worries About Cam-belt Snapping {Rubber Type}
Not All Sunny Coupes Are Fitted With Chain Driven Cams, So If You Find One, Then Your In For A Excellent Running Engine.
The Performance Of These Cars Are Very Fast Indeed, Somewhere In The Speed Of 125 MPH Plus, So Really It's a Ground Propelled Rocket On Wheels & Yes You Can Feel The G-Force, Push You Into Your Seat.
Petrol Running Cost Are Great, Mine Does 40 Miles To The Gallon Easy & That's Around Town & Even More On A Long Journey.
Everything About The Car Is Sporty & The Interior Is Low & Lush (Lotus Esprit) Does Spring To Mind Instantly Due To The Tartan Style Hounds Tooth Cloth On Door Cards & All Seat Inlays.
Going Back To Performance, Although A 1991 Car, It Still Eats Escort XRi'S/Porsche 924's/BMW Series 3's/Mercedes Kompressors (But I Think The Other Driver So Called Could Not Handle His Car Or Speed)
Although The Car Has No Central Locking Or Alarm System As Standard, I Would Hate To See A Bunch Of Joy Riders Steal This Car, As Its Speed Would Equal Death To All In It, As These Cars Are Like No Other, Due To There Light Weight Nature & GT Performance.
