1994 Nissan Sunny LX review from UK and Ireland

Usual consumables - still on original clutch, exhaust etc.

Heater blower resistor (fan only working on speed 4) - cheap and simply replaced.

Other than that, nothing whatsoever.

For a 1.4 the car is responsive, relatively engaging to drive and comfortable enough to cruise in all day! Returns on average 42mpg at 75mph and doesn't suffer overly on town runs.

The pitch adjustable driver's seat and height adjustable steering column makes for a comfortable driving position, all controls are within easy reach and instinctively placed. Rear leg room is somewhat lacking, but 2/3rds split bench seat is comfortable enough and practical for extending boot space without losing available seats.

All driving controls are very light, the power steering feels slightly over assisted, but the positive brakes and light clutch make up for it. Minimal understeer until really provoked, but then again in it's 1.4 guise it was never designed for hard driving!

The car appears very well made, suffers none of the creaks usually associated with a 10 year old car, the seats remain supportive and the material is not showing any signs of wear.

Lots of electrical toys, the sunroof doesn't encroach on front seat headroom and everything works as new.

Fingers crossed with continued regular oil changes, the chain cam driven engine will continue to return reliable, smile inducing motoring! Small amount of surface corrosion in the rear sills to catch, but other than that, no foreseeable problems.
