1984 Nissan Sunny LX review from UK and Ireland
"It is a god damn awful car, I hate it on a cellular level"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Bumper fell of at high speed
exhaust fell of
door buckled in heat
wing mirror works backwards
air con warms the car instead of cools it (some kind of Nissan joke)
Paint lost colour
Rust every where (less rust in an iron mongers)
Interior is miserable, I felt depressed every time I stepped into that car!
General comments?
The styling has been carried out by a set of monkeys in a bush clearing in Vietnam. The engine to put it lightly sounds like a bag of nails and has absolutely no go. Dipping the clutch is truly the most strenuous task I have ever encountered, I nearly had a hernia! Braking is abysmal it about 5 seconds for the brake to even react and a further 5 seconds to get to full lock!
As for the interior well, oh dear, it totally lacks any character what so ever. The dials are truly ancient and lack any for of useful information, for instance the speedometer told me I was doing 30mph when I was parked up. The oil gauge reads out a few hundred degrees in the winter when I have only just started it. As for the damn awful upholstery, the seats look like they have been made out of recycled cardboard and are as durable as an old leather boot. The gearstick looks like a 19th century golf club made out of iron really I am not joking. As for the name 'sunny' how dare they! They truly know how to insult you, they had the audacity, the shear front, the bare faced cheek to call it a 'sunny', a 'SUNNY'! It should have been called the Nissan 'drizzle', the Nissan 'bank holiday wash out' the Nissan 'grey and rainy with a pinch of hill fog' or better still the Nissan 'hateful'. In a desperate attempt a neighbour tryed and failed to inject a bit of character into the car with a few well aimed dents. The profile front and rear only reminds me of a Victorian toilet block and as for the side profile well they made a complete monkeys breakfast of that didn't they!
