2006 Nissan X-Trail SE review from South Africa
"Great car, rubbish back up"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Tyre wear has been excessive due to wrong alignment, despite us asking them to check it each time it is taken in. We are now on our third set of tyres, they have 10,000 kilos on them, and we have them checked at an independent tyre place.
Clutch went now at 80,000, which has taken out the fly wheel too, so the cost of repair is huge compared to value of the car on the used car market. Nissan refuse to discuss anything other than to direct us to the disclaimer on the warranty card that says clutches are not covered, and neither is the dual mass fly wheel.
General comments?
This car has proved to be very reliable till now.
It is comfortable, but the running costs are those of a much higher cost car such as a Merc or BMW.
