1995 Oldsmobile Achieva S review from North America
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Door panel is falling off, replaced the motor in the power window twice, stalls when it is hot and more often than not when it is hot (I live in the humid south) the transmission gets stuck and the rpms will read 4 doing 70mph (when it's cold it normally reads 2-21/2). Several dealerships COULD NOT FIX PROBLEM although we recently found out that Oldsmobile did make it public that this car has that problem with the transmission - $700 to fix but of course they didn't recall it and the dealerships didn't tell us this until three years after we had taken it to be checke about 10 times. If they don't think it's dangerous they should try pulling out into traffic and having the car stop.
General comments?
No engine problems, but major transmission problems, interior rattles and is beginning to fall apart, very uncomfortable for anyone over 5' tall. This car is a piece of CRAP!
