1999 Oldsmobile Alero review from North America

Everything that could possibley go bad on a car went bad on this car. Since I got it two and a half years ago I had to replace the head gasket, the rotars have been replaced about 4 times, the brakes havev been replaced twice, I replaces the whole inside mechanisms for, but the drivers side door and the passengers side door of which the drivers side door window needed to be replaced 4 times in the last 2 years, the gask cap was leaking gas, and soo so much more that I can't even remember.

I bought my car a couple of years ago for 5,000 dollars and most likley have put about 8,000 in it since then.

I wouldn't take this car if somone offered it to me fore free! Well maybe I would, but only to sell it.

Overall, this car drives horribley, its not a smooth ride, it's loud, bumby, the windows never worked correctly they always seemed to be hesitant to go down ono all of them. The radio doesn't work correctly, the leather is all cracked on all of the seats even though I use leather conditioning on them. The airbag has a leather cover on it which shrunk due to the heat in florida which then latter just fell off revieling bar black plastic. This is not an economic car either, I use a ton of gas! I clocked it at one point and I think I am getting close to 14 miles per gallon. This thing isn't a semi, but somone may want to tell my car that because it drinks like one.

Overall, I would stay away from this money pit.

If you want a cheap economic car, I would go for the hyundai accent.
