2000 Oldsmobile Alero GLX review from North America
"Decent price, skeptical about customer service"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Resistor Pack for Fan Blower - Fan would only work at certain settings.
Wheel/Tire "grinding" noise - typical to Alero/Grand Am/etc. Waiting for Oldsmobile to comply with fix that is now out since 10-15,000 miles.
Terrible wind noise, especially through driver's side window since purchase.
One tire keeps going low.
Check Engine light - reset after unable to diagnose, back on again and will be taking the vehicle in this weekend.
Trunk is way too hard to close.
New rotors needed after 10-15,000 miles.
General comments?
Liked the style and performance of the Alero.
Was hoping for Oldsmobile quality and ended up with Pontiac quality.
Overall, car has been reliable, with the above listed annoyances.
More frustrating part of GM overall is not the minor vehicle issues as much as their lack of resolve to get them fixed. 1998 Cavalier was a lemon to everyone except GM. Finally took a loss on it to get rid of it while I could.

| It is a good-looking money pit that I no longer trust. |
