2000 Oldsmobile Alero GL review from North America
"GM should be standing behind these cars and honoring all repairs to get the care running correctly"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Just two days after purchasing my 2000 Alero, it had to go into the shop for new rotors and pads. Throughout the history of the car, the brakes and rotors have been replaced seven times.
I am on my third intake gasket.
My fuel mileage has been poor, only averages 17 mpg, and the dealership says that is normal?!?
I have a grinding noise when I turn the wheels, again the dealership says that all is well. And just recently I have heard a clunking noise while my car is idling.
General comments?
The looks of the Alero are great however with all the mechanical problems I think it is a poor purchase on my point. Also a poor design mechanically on Oldsmobile and GM.
