2000 Oldsmobile Alero GLS review from North America
"I'll never buy another Oldsmobile"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Multiple problems with this vehicle.
Staring with rotor/brake problems at 12000 miles. The problem continue today. I've accepted this part.
Many electrical problems with this vehicle. Started with the radio antenna, to signal lights to hazard lights to failure of my rear window defogger.
The biggest problem has been the intake manifold gasket. This part has failed for the third time. The dealer says this is a perfectly normal problem. I've called other Oldsmobile dealers who have stated this is not a normal occurence. The shop where the car is now agrees with the other dealers that I've called. The dealership where I bought the car has stated to me that this is not their problem.
General comments?
The car is great and handles wonderfully. Too bad it is so cheaply made.
