2000 Oldsmobile Alero GS review from North America
"It's a great car, and I would buy another like mine if I could find one"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I've had to replace the rotors twice.
The passenger side power window failed at about 60,000 but the dealer fixed it.
The head gasket blew at 149,000 miles.
The first two notches on the a/c (presumably the resistor) went at 151,500.
General comments?
I don't know why most people trash this car, unless I was just extremely lucky. I have driven this across the country and back and forth from NY to FL countless times with no problems other than what could be expected after such wear and tear.
Driving the car 120,000 miles (after the 30K that were already on it when I bought it) in less than 3 years before it had to be taken into the shop for any sort of repair is a pretty good deal.
