1999 Oldsmobile Alero GL review from North America
"My Alero has been a great car so far"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
My Power Steering Return Hose Sprung a leak at 71000 miles.
Passenger Power Window has a short or something. It will only roll back up after playing with it for a second.
Sometimes on cold winter mornings the Anti-lock brake and traction control light come on after a few minutes of driving and stay on until I turn off the car and restart it again, then it will do the same things again a few days later.
General comments?
Overall I really enjoy the Alero. I haven't really had any major problems with the car just normal wear that all cars go through.
The car handles very well and is a lot of fun to drive
i really like the V6 engine. it climbs the mountains up to the Ski resorts without mercy. There is always plenty of power for passing the slower cars.

| If you can get past the problems, Alero has potential: MUCH better than the Achieva it replaced! |
