2001 Oldsmobile Alero GLS review from North America
"2001 Olds Alero GLS - Minor Issues"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The things wrong with my car are the following--
1.) The "low tire pressure" light kept coming on even if the tires were full and properly inflated.
(My mechanic said someone ran over a nail and the tire was losing pressure, replaced the hole in the tire, $25 cost)
2.) The previous owner of the car did something to it- now the rim is bent, $100-400 fix.
3.) New Windshield wiper blades, $10 fix.
4.) Needs new brakes, est. $200-250 fix.
5.) Needs steering fluid, hard to steer.
6.) Key-less entry remote stopped working (brand new remote), $60 replacement cost.
7.) My car has leather, the driver seat is wearing badly - and the back seat is already starting to rip.
General comments?
Absolutely beautiful looking car. Sharp lights and very nice interior features. I have been hearing a lot of bad and good things about this car, my friend just had to sell his '02 Alero b/c his problems kept adding up. Hopefully my issues/concerns with the vehicle are only minor, and it will be a good car. My last car was a 2000 Dodge Neon Highline, which I gave to my sister. This car has it all over my previous. I hope nothing goes wrong with it!
