What things have gone wrong with the car?

-Service Vehicle Soon/Trac Off/Anit Lock lights are always on

-Service Engine Light after having heads serviced, intakes redone twice in one year and light is still on

-push rod replaced

-Outer Tie rod on the passenger side

-Valve cover gaskets done twice

-One day I was going down the road and my horn starting blowing and would not stop and since then it will not blow and my alarm does not sound when you lock the doors, but it does lock.

General comments?

This car only looks good I wish I would have done my homework on this car, but it has learned me a lesson before I buy another car I will research it first. This car needs to be pulled off the market I understand that with every car there are going to be some problems, but this is ridiculous problems after problems and just when you think you have it fixed the same problem arises again. BEWARE.

I see a lot of bad reviews on the Alero, and it really surprises me. It is the exact same car as the Pontiac Grand Am, and my 2001 Grand Am SE-1 has been by far the best car I've ever owned. Not a hint of a problem.

I also have a 2003 Alero. I own a GL though... Anyway, about your horn problem... I was at my ex-girlfriend's house one day and we were inside. I thought I heard a car horn honk (nothing unusual). Several minutes later, I thought I heard the horn again, but it sounded constant this time. I went outside and my horn had been sounding for quite some time. I tried to turn it off, and when it failed to turn off, I just pulled the fuse. I waited a minute and put the fuse back in. The horn was not sounding, so I went back inside. About 30 minutes later - same problem, except by the time I got back outside to my car, the horn had stopped. I opened the door and tried honking the horn - nothing. I pulled the fuse and put it back in and tried again - no sound. I inspected the fuse to make sure it wasn't blown, and it was fine. I tried to lock my car and it locked okay, but the horn did not sound. Since I've been so busy, I haven't fixed it yet, so it's been close to a year since that happened, but I know that the car blew its own horn.
