1995 Oldsmobile Aurora review from North America

Car will not start or even crank.

All electrical appear to be in working order; chimes, lights, wipers and windows etc. does operate.

I bought this car a week ago and it did not run (first mistake). I bought a new battery $200.00, all the lights, horn, wipers, windows etc. work fine, but the engine will not crank or run at all. I do hear the fuel pump kick in and maybe a click under the hood, but no crank or turn over. I was told the previous owners floored the vehicle in neutral before the repossession man showed up, causing the engine to seize up. If this is true, when I turn on the engine to run and turn the headlights on, would the stay bright? They do not dim at all; this leads me to believe it is the starter not making proper connection. I have also tried turning the harmonic balancer with a breaker bar-does not turn at all. Do I need to do something special on this heavy engine to help make it turn easier.. do I need key on or car in neutral or a spark plug removed.
