2 check engine lights 3000 miles
rear wiper broke 10000 miles
leaking differential 15000 miles
ball joint replaced 24000 miles
lower half of truck repainted twice 7000 miles and 27000 miles
mirrors never had memory - all miles.
Overall, the truck has been great. My biggest complaint is the paint. My dealer has repainted twice - leaving me with no car or a rental for weeks at a time. Contacted Oldsmobile who claims it is not a design problem, but the environment in which I drive my car. I am planning on putting running boards on - apparently at my cost because Oldsmobile does not stand behind its vehicles. The truck has been in and out of the service garage roughly 10-15 times per year.
The 2002 Bravada does not have a 275 HP V6, it has an in-line 6.
2002 Bravada doesn't have 275hp... GM increased the hp in 2003 to 275... the '02 only has 270hp.
I had all the same problems with my 2002 Bravada. Would never buy another. I liked the style and comfort the truck offered, but the quality was fast becoming a family joke. Within a 4 year period (end of lease Aug2005 had 58,000kms on the truck)
replace seat motors
replaced exhaust
replaced front wheel transfer case
smart-track didn't work at all for first 3 years... found out the hard way in a snow storm.
Replace rubber around front windshield
rear wiper replaced twice
front brake rotors milled twice
front bumper fell off twice... attached very loosely.
I am having the same problems with my '02 Bravada. I bought it used in March '05. Low miles, but the bottom panels all had to be repainted due to chips/peeling of the paint and protective coating. My side mirrors will NEVER go back to the 1 and 2 memory - I thought I was the dumb one! My next problem is that while fueling my vehicle, the gas pump continues to trip - I have to stand outside and pump it continually while it clicks off every $.20. No one can figure this out. ALSO - if I do not start it within 48 hours - every ounce of charge is gone. I have to have it charged or jumped - no one can figure this out either - new battery and alternator... not Cheap!
The bad reviews are obviously from individuals who are not fans of General motors. Why do you waste your time to degrade the bravada in your comments. Warranty is what it says if you have problems and yes all expenses are paid. Anyway go buy a Kia or something.
I recently bought a 2002 Bravada and love it however, I get an odd shutter "pulsation" in the front end whenever I am slowly pulling into a parking space or garage, etc. I have not had it back to the dealer yet. Any thoughts...
