Remember back when Chevy, Olds, Buick, and Pontiac each used to build their own engines for each division? The Quad 4 "442" version was actually specially built by Oldsmobile for this car only, very limited production. Quite a rare engine to come across these days, I'd keep it running if ya got one.
It may be faster off the line than a Camaro, but I think any Camaro would smoke this thing in the quarter mile, even Camaros with the 2.8.

I hate to tell you, but a 1990 IROC-Z only runs a 15.5 1/4 mile, mine ran in the 14's, so yes, it is faster than the same era Camaro. Now if you want to get technical, this is a mostly stock car, with a 4 cylinder... Deal with it.
