1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Limited Edition Convertible review from North America

Alternator was replaced at 48,000 miles.

Starting to see a few drips around top of windows when it rains.

Most puzzling problem now is power locks will start jumping up and down in unison while driving down the road and sometimes while parked with the engine off. Sometimes locks will not work at all by use of the button on the doors or from the key fob... when this happens either the overhead light on the roll bar will remain on or one of the lights on the rear-view mirror will remain on. This usually lasts for a couple hours and then all is fine until the next time. This problem has also caused the keys to be locked in the car at least twice... once running and once with the engine off. This has also killed the battery overnight on 3 occasions.

Not able to find many interior or exterior trim parts except at a local salvage yard and most of those are in worse shape then the parts you have.

A/C is only blowing cool air even though it is showing proper pressures on the high and low sides and was topped off with freon. Looking into that now.

Love the classic styling of this car... for sure will be a classic.

Mechanically has never let me down, but my mechanic hates to work on it... rear plugs hard to get at, have to take the wheel off to replace the alternator, etc...

Have yet to see another Limited Edition, so not sure if the Black Leather seats with red and white leather inserts is original in my white car with a black cloth top. Grey carpet that matches the floor is on the door panels, and has the factory Oldsmobile floor mats.

Did I say I love this car... always get positive comments when I drive her somewhere, and people get to look her over.
