1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera S review from North America
"Overall average sedan"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The engine hesitates when cold, but by letting it warm up for a couple minutes in the morning, the problem is solved.
Belt tensioner broke after purchase. Cheap replacement, $100 bucks with labor.
Shortly after, the transmission cooling line got caught in a cooling fan causing 3 quarts of fluid to drain out. Cheap fix, $100 with labor and fluid.
General comments?
I bought it because of the reliability of my 1991 Buick Century with the 3.3L V6. So far it hasn't been as reliable.
Original AC Delco battery is still going strong after 7 years. I replaced it due to the fact that it was getting old.
It has good pickup and the brakes are decent. The comfort and convenience for this model are exceptional.
Repairs on the car are very resonable. I did a tune up which consisted of plug wires, spark plugs, air filter, distrubuiter cap, pcv valve, and battery for a little over $100.
