1979 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale review from Finland
"Awesome highway cruiser"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
First of all, kilometers on the car are NOT true... I really have no idea how much it had on, when I bought it :D.
Immediately after purchasing:
I had to replace worn out radiator.
Replaced tired spark plugs.
Front seat was completely stuck, but I managed to repair it.
2000km later:
Left tie rod replaced.
Left front brake line replaced.
5000km later:
Replaced the fuel tank due to a extensive leakage.
Also, some minor electrical problems every now and then.
General comments?
This car was probably never been taken care of:
Old Burgundy Red paint job was over painted, probably with crappy spray bottle paints.
Interior was very worn out.
This car was ex-Diesel. It had 350cid tuned gasoline engine when I bought this car.
This car was quite quick considering the weight and the lack of aerodynamics (I achieved nearly 200km/h on the highway, and the throttle was about 3/4 open!!!)
The car was a joy to drive, too bad I really had to sell this car.
