1975 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale review from North America
"It came from a time of big, fast cars and will tear up any fiberglass rice-grinder in it's way"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I rebuilt and replaced the alternator, belts (alternator belt twice as it was shredded by some mysterious force I have not been able to identify), 2 new batteries, cancerous rust along roof, one wheel well, and extensive rust on hood, needs new seals, floor pans, and carpeting.
General comments?
My car looks kind of crappy right now, but boy can it burn up the road! I love driving it even though it shakes when I go past 60mph (shocks) and I almost get thrown to one side of the car on turns. I have a vision for this car even though many ignorant people have told me it's a piece of crap. This baby's a classic.
I plan to put a 455 with blower, etc. in it and do extensive body work.
I've grown quite attached to this car as it is my first. I purchased it for $50, but with that engine, it's worth a lot more. I'll tell you, this car is one big powerhouse of pimpdom.
