1977 Oldsmobile Toronado XS review from North America
"Fine car, wish I had it now"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
No major problems.
General comments?
Had all emissions gear stripped off engine, removed cat converter. Installed heavy gas shocks on front. Careful maintenance of all systems. Installed Italian air horns for pedestrian safety.
This car was more than seriously quick... it required an easy foot on the accelerator to avoid smoking the tires at almost any speed.
I owned Cadillacs and Lincoln Continentals since 1951, and this Toronado was the most comfortable car, ever.
Reinstalled all emissions equipment before selling.
