1968 Oldsmobile Toronado review from North America
"Luxury performance car with panache!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing yet! and I hope it will stay that way, this beautiful toro just had a complete overhaul.
General comments?
I have been looking for a 1968 toronado since more than 8 years and I finally found one on ebay, it is sleeping in my garage, I have 16 other oldsmobiles, but this one is THE jewel of my collection, everywhere I go I get the thumbs up! even more than my 1972 442! and when I tell them it's a front wheel drive they take an even closer look to really believe it, but you just have to push a little on the gas pedal and you can see smoke getting out of the front wheel drive tires because a rocket 455 has so much torque! as you can read I'm in love with this car since the first time I saw one near Buffalo 8 years ago, I am not disapointed.
One thing I have to say that I don't like about this beautiful car is the 4 drums brakes don't work as well as I thought they would. You have to anticipate more before stopping because you have to push harder than usual to come to a complete stop.
