New distributor needed 155 000km.
New Fuel Pump relay 156 000km.
Coolant system needed
to be bleed 156 000km.
Head Gasket blew 157 000km.
ABS Stuffed up still not fixed does not work anymore.
All sensor lights are continually on even when everything has been checked.
Seats starting to wear.
This car does not respond well to mods as the ecu always needs to remap itself.
And so much more little things needed to maintain this car.
I strongly suggest to anyone in Australia to buy this car.
Basically with this car you name it it has gone wrong.
I Live in Australia and have found that getting parts for these cars is almost impossible and also very very expensive.
I must admit this car is quite a quick car, but it comes at a price.
If anything goes wrong with this car you will be up for it.
The build quality is terrible and the lack of knowledge on this car in australia is terrible.
I myself seemed to know more about the car then most mechanics.
Having said that this car could be awesome if there was unlimited parts and great customer service came with it.
Not a bad car I would never buy another one due to the lack of interest for them in my country.
On a positive note I have beaten many cars in the Calibra and it is definitely one of the quickest N/A cars in its price range.
With a set of headers and a full 2/14 inch exhaust this car opens up with computer tunning from a chip and a good cold air induction this car is good for about 148kw at the fly wheel. (which is what I had mine running at)
I am also from Australia.
I couldn't agree with you any more. I bought this car one year ago, indeed the car is great looking, but the cost is also almost unbearable.
A change of fuel cap cost me about $70 as the dealer said they need to get a new one from Germany.
