1987 Opel Kadett review from Lithuania
"Cheap, and unreliable for rookies"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
1. Front shock absorbers are to be changed every one and half years, because the weight of the car is not distributed equally and is concentrated on the front of it.
2. Right front brakes were totally damaged two times in 4 years, though the front left is OK.
3. Car does not start at low temperatures (-10C) if it has been not run for a few days.
General comments?
The car is very cheap to run - spare parts are not expensive, but if you have a construction defect, is impossible to detect it.
Brakes do not function at an appropriate level.
In winter, exploitation becomes expensive.
The car is very noisy inside because of poor comfort conditions.
