1997 Opel Omega MV6 review from United Arab Emirates
"Totally unreliable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Time belt was changed by the dealer at 25000 Km (because of age mainly). Surprisingly the new time belt had disintegrated at 40,000 Km causing severe engine damage that was not covered by the dealer.
Motor of the electric rear blind burned out at 50,000 Km.
Driver's power seat stopped functioning at around 55,000 Km.
At 70,000 Km the engine needed a costly tune up that was available at the dealer's shop at high cost.
Sun/moon roof never functioned properly. Kept having endless uncontrolled opening and closing of the roof.
CD changer never worked.
After simple battery change, I had to take it to the dealer for "computer reset"!!
At 80,000 I deceided to get rid of the car at any cost.
General comments?
Nice car, but an owner should expect heavy bills.
