Alignment issues, car keeps veering right. A trip to the tyre shop fixed this little issue.
The car is one of the best Malaysian made cars yet. Driving experience is quite comfortable. The steering is quite direct. But it lacks feel and response. Also floaty at corners, and can be a slighty shifted by crosswinds.
The acceleration for a 1.3 car is quite reasonable. the mid band torque helps during overtaking on highways.
The interior is slightly dull, with standard dark grey plastics and grey seats. But the instrument panel is very clear and easy to use. The interior space though is top class among the superminis. Able to fit 5 adults with no fuss.
The only issue is getting the steering to be more responsive. I'm working on changing the suspension system, maybe add some stiffer after market springs and rollbars. The high speed corners saps confidence with the rear end rolling about.
I agree entirely with your comments, and would say that the soft rear end suspension prevents fast driving, but encourages cruising. It is soft around bends, but much more comfortable than many cars this size because of the softer springing.
Just bought a Myvi after hiring one in Malaysia.
I think Perodua might have changed the suspension settings now for the UK as mine is very stiff and goes around corners without much body roll. The downside to this is that the ride is not so supple.
So far great car for the price, but a pity the did not put a clock in it.
