1999 Peugeot 106 G.T.I review from UK and Ireland
"Wolf in sheep's clothing"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Alarm was going off a lot, one visit to dealer sorted it out (under warranty).
Catalytic convertor broke after having the car for two months (again repaired under warranty).
General comments?
The car looks great outside, but the interior seems a little dated, mainly the dashboard.
Will surprise drivers of other hot hatches, especially on any roads with twists and turns.
My GTI is easily mistaken for the lesser quicksilver, which can be humorous at the lights.
For the first couple of months of driving the car gave me a bad back, this is due to the pedals being slightly to the left of the steering wheel and seat. Seems O. K now though.
