1996 Peugeot 106 xn review from UK and Ireland
"Great little car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Just general wear and tear really.
Exhaust- 52000
Fan belt- 52000
Battery- 55500.
General comments?
Great car. Handles really well and I can see why it has been voted best handling in its class by many car magazines.
Looks are pretty decant as well. Mine is a red 5 door and looks pretty sporty considering what it is. Shape still looks modern.
Performance is decant for the size of the engine. You need to rev it though as it is pretty gutless as low revs. However once the revs pick up she goes well. I've thrashed a new Fiat Punto 1.2 as well as many a Fiesta (1.1 and 1.3).
The brakes are a bit rubbish to be honest and they really lack stopping power. This unfortunately gets even worse in the wet!
Interior is pretty decant all well made compared to renault clio's and corsa's of the same year.
