1992 Peugeot 205 xs (xt) review from UK and Ireland
"Sex on wheels, with bags of go"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Sreering rack was lose, had new.
Brakes failed, but were original ones and pads?
Torsion bar sagging, had new rear axil because it was cheaper.
Had 3 engine oil seals done still drips when engine cooling.
Passenger side track control arm bush was worn through, has all replaced.
New steering wheel (had someones teeth marks in it?).
Fog lamps gone rusty so had replacement and resprayed them.
General comments?
I have driven many fast cars and many comfortable cars, but the xs is the best all rounder.
Amazing bottom end torque the bonnet nearly takes off.
Superb handling for the little weight in her, and body roll is perfectly controlled even on the old original suspension.
Me and my girlfriend have been every where we can because we can be in our own little world due to the comfort, reliability and above all ease and fun to drive.
I've spent over 1300 pounds on unessery/nessery modifications and repairs and shes worth every penny and I plan to keep the car for a long time even if I have another 205 I would still keep my xs.
